On 1 November the second of three online qualification seasons for the FIFA Interactive World Cup 2016 kicked off. The new season means a fresh start for EA SPORTS™ FIFA 16 gamers that are still looking to secure a seat at the 2016 Grand Final of the world’s largest gaming tournament, which will be hosted in New York early next year. The winner of FIWC 2016 will secure a coveted trip to the FIFA Ballon d’Or and a USD 20,000 cash prize.

The 2016 edition of the FIWC is set to break our already impressive attendance records with roughly 1.5 million players having signed up in the opening online season. This year also marks the first time the official FIFA tournament has ever been held on two consoles. Gamers on either Xbox One or PlayStation®4 can join the Road to New York.

Eager to find out who secured their New York tickets in the Season One? The ten qualified players from the opening qualification season will be announced soon on FIFA.com.
