I’m disappointed just as every member of my team. I think everyone agrees with me that the best team lost. This is football. I believe we had enough quality to qualify. The players are young and they lacked experience and also loss of concentration. We worked hard and played very well, and I feel the players could have done better. We missed a lot of chances and there was much pressure on the players since we had to win to qualify. I congratulate South Africa and Senegal for qualifying to the next round.

It was a difficult game. Both teams wanted to win. Tunisia is no doubt a good team, but we were determined. We did not start well, but we got better. For us, we want to peak at the right time and it was a good performance from the players. This is a tournament with the best eight teams (U-23 category) in Africa, and Senegal stood out well. We wait to see our opponents at the next stage and we will be happy to face either, Algeria, Egypt or Nigeria.
