Like I said at the press conference on the eve of the match that we would consider the match against Al Hilal as it is was a final. Technically, we did not offer a good match, but we won it because of the seriousness and combativeness we show, and it allowed us to get important three points.
We have achieved a positive result against a strong competitor on a tough ground. I’m very proud of the efforts of my players; they knew how to read the game. I'm happy for the team and for the country Morocco that they represent, and for our fans.
Mohamed Abarhoun (Captain, Moghreb Tetouan)
We put up a good performance. It is true we didn’t offer ‘beautiful’ football, but each match has its considerations. Our target was to get the three points. It is important that we won the game. Our team is now breathing at the group stage, we have same points with Hilal, who gave us a good match.
Nabil Al Kouki – (Head coach, El Hilal)
The loss at home is difficult to take. In the first half, we allowed our opponents to create opportunities due to our wrong passes. We tried to come back into the game and we created some serious opportunities in the first half. Moghreb Tetouan played a decently defensive manner. We did everything to change the result, but we had a weakness in attack.
In the second half, we did everything; attacked from the wings and until we got a penalty. We still have a chance in the group as there are two matches remaining. We must roll up our sleeves for those two matches. I have confidence in my players who had an excellent second half.
Our next game against TP Mazembe will be crucial, and we must prepare well for them.
Souleymane Cisse (Midfielder, Hilal)
What was missing was luck. TP Mazembe will come to Omdurman for our next game and we are not worried. We will play again in the presence of our fans. We are stronger than them and we hope that luck will be with us. We will be very focused to get the three points.
