The Flames moved to camp on Monday, 21 September 2015 to begin preparations for the clash with Tanzania billed for Wednesday, 7 October 2015 in Dar es Salaam. The return leg will take place four days later at the Kamuzu Stadium in Blantyre.
Coach Ernest Mtawali has summoned 25-players for the two-legged encounter including new faces midfielders Levison Maganizo and Kondwani Kumwenda of Fisd Wizards and Be Forward Wanderers respectively.
The team will be joined by additional players plying their trade in Mozambique and South Africa to wrap up preparations.
Meanwhile, General Secretary of the Football Association of Malawi (FAM) Suzgo Nyirenda has announced plans are on course to play either Kenya or Uganda in a test match en route to Tanzania.
The winner of the Malawi-Tanzania tie will face Algeria at the next round of the continental qualifiers.
