Kaizer Chiefs' fringe players, who were supposed to go on loan for the 2015/16 campaign, look set to remain at the club, for now at least.
The players include Zimbabwean winger Ovidy Karuru, who has since been registered, and the duo of left backs, Levi Mokgothu and Simphiwe Mtsweni.
A source at the club told the Siya crew that the technical team has asked the management to keep these players for now, where they can have a closer look at them before making a decision.
“You see these players were put on loan before coach Steve came in and when he took the job he asked the management to give every player a fair chance to prove themselves and some have done well, like Karuru.
“He (Karuru) has already been registered for the current season. The other two are also still being monitored by the technical team and I think they will make a decision before the registration window period closes. But for now they are not going anywhere," the source said.
The Amakhosi are currently busy with preparations for their second league match of the season on Saturday, where they will host Free State Stars.
