Highlanders chief executive officer Ndumiso Gumede is hopeful that a deal will soon be struck with Dutch coach Elroy Akbay.
According to Gumede, there have been some issues in terms of contract agreements, but he remains optimistic that Akbay will soon be confirmed as the club's new head coach.
"We initially thought that our benefactor Tshinga Dube was the one pushing Akbay. But we were shocked to learn that one Denford Mutasu is his agent," Gumede was quoted as saying by the Soccer24 website.

"It was resolved at our Annual General Meeting that we should desist from dealing with people with agents," said Gumede.
"We are slowly but surely agreeing on salary and other issues with the man that we had to zero in on him.
"About nine of our of players will be out of contract come December 31. We since assigned our current technical staff to assess the players for the 2016 season," he concluded.
