The battle of the two remaining teams in the NBA finally got underway on Thursday night between the Western Conference Champions; the Golden State Warriors and the Cleveland Cavaliers; the Eastern Conference Champs in Oakland California. Both teams are looking for a championship that has been either absent for a very long while or totally nonexistent in their franchise histories.
The Golden State Warriors with their sharp shooting duo of Stephen Curry and Klay Thompson were a handful to deal with as the Cavaliers who started the Game red hot that led up to an early double digit lead eventually lost it. They Game would end up tied at the final buzzer of regulation time to lead up to overtime.
The Golden State Warriors will now head into Game 2 of the Finals series with a one game lead, hoping to stave off the Cavaliers from winning on their home floor.
