LA Galaxy hosts Guatemalan side C.S.D. Comunicaciones at the StubHub Center on Tuesday night at 10 p.m. ET (FOX Sports 2). The Galaxy opened its CCL campaign with a dominant 5-1 win over Trinidadian side Central FC, but will have its hands full with a Comunicaciones team that won Liga Nacional’s 2014 Apertura and 2015 Clausura seasons. With an MLS showdown versus New York City FC ahead on Sunday, Bruce Arena has to tactfully juggle his lineup to ensure LA earns three points and strengthens its hold on Group D.
Seattle Sounders FC also plays on Wednesday night, hosting Honduran side Club Deportivo Olimpia at CenturyLink Field at 10 p.m. ET (FOX Sports 2). Sounders FC opened the group stage with a 1-1 draw against Vancouver Whitecaps FC two weeks ago, but returns with a healthy Obafemi Martins and transfer window additions Roman Torres and Nelson Valdez available for selection. Olimpia made a run into the knockout stage of last year’s tournament but was dispatched in the quarterfinals by Herediano.
