The ICC has confirmed that the Event Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty 20 Qualifier 2015 has approved Arun Paulose as a replacement player for Khawar Ali in Oman’s squad for the tournament.
Khawar has returned home for personal reasons having featured in both of his side’s games to date against Kenya, which Oman lost by seven runs, and the seven-wicket victory over Canada.
The Event Technical Committee of the ICC World Twenty 20 Qualifier 2015 is Geoff Allardice (ICC General Manager – Cricket, Chairman), Chris Tetley (ICC Head of Events), Warren Deutrom (Chief Executive, Cricket Ireland / Co-Tournament Director), Euan McIntyre (Cricket Scotland / Co-Tournament Director), Pommie Mbangwa and Dominic Cork (independent nominees).
