Facing formidable and stiff competition from former country woman and now Dutch runner Sifan Hassan Ethiopia’s Genzebe Dibaba left nothing to chance as she took off a full two laps to the finish of the 1500 meters race in Monaco on Friday evening (July 17th 2015) at the Diamond League Track meet to win in World Record time of 3:50.07, obliterating the old record set by Chinese woman Yunxia Qu in Beijing back in 1993 of 3:50.46.
