Coaching and Playing Standards can fix National Teams:

We have to start by accepting that in any football nation where football is governed by proper technical authorities in selecting players for the National Teams, the National Coaches must have taken all reasonable and necessary steps to ensure that players will be properly selected in terms of the criteria regulated by a specific policy. The question to be answered is whether the players so selected, either from the Professional Soccer League (PSL), National First Division (NFD) and/or the amateur divisions, including overseas based players are eligible and suitable for the type of play required for high performance in the National Teams. Do we have players in these divisions that are trained and developed in terms of the South African Football standards? This will create a collective harmony on the natural ability of players who are selected in a systematic approach. Once that is done, one is able to look within us to reverse the processes of failure and determine whether the players are exposed to the competitions that they are ready for.

According to International trends, the National Football Federations have linked their own football standards as guidelines to be implemented by Clubs from amateur to professional. This promotes the players from the Clubs when selected for the National Teams to share the same football mentality. More particularly, this will be supported by the Club Coaches since their task will be of highest responsibilities and will minimize the hot debates on the selection of players.

Technically, SAFCA have solutions that apply to coaching/training to give meaning to our own unique football attributes and natural tendencies. The Clubs and ultimately the National Teams will be profiting from such results because in South Africa we will know the type of football the National Teams are supposed to be playing.
