Phillip Chiyangwa was on Saturday, 5 December 2015 in Harare, elected president of the Zimbabwe Football Association (ZIFA).
Wishing him “warmest congratulations” on his election, CAF President, Issa Hayatou, in a letter dated 6 December 2015 added “CAF is confident that your experience, know-how, and leadership will benefit football in Zimbabwe and allow its durable development”.

Chiyangwa, a businessman, who replaced Cuthbert Dube, revoked by the General Assembly on 3 October 2015, polled 40 votes at the elective General Assembly against 13 by rival, Trevor David Juul.
Omega Sibanda was elected Vice President. Other persons elected to the Executive Committee of the federation are: Felton Kamambo, Edzai Kasinauyo, Piraishe Mabhena and Philemon Machana.
