The General Secretary of Liberia Football Association (LFA), Alphonso Armah has passed away, officials of the LFA have confirmed to the Confédération Africaine de Football (CAF).
He died on the night of Wednesday, 11 November 2015 after losing a battle with liver cancer, for which he was recently flown to India for treatment. An ardent football fan, who did his work with so much passion since he assumed the position as General Secretary of LFA in October 2012. He was 37.

"On behalf of the CAF Executive Committee and on my own behalf, I extend my deepest condolences to the Liberia Football Association (LFA), bereaved family and the Liberian football family at this difficult period," said CAF President Issa Hayatou.
Armah will be buried today (Thursday, 12 November 2015) in accordance with Islamic tradition, a religion he practiced.
