Boland's Faye Tunnicliff and Eastern Province's Lauren Booysen produced the standout performances on the second day of the Cricket South Africa (CSA) Girls under-19 Week - although they came in very different circumstances.
The day saw the provinces engage in Twenty20 matches in the morning, and although another round of games was scheduled for the afternoon, only one of those was concluded as rain washed out the others.
Tunnicliff registered the only half-century on the day as she scored 53 in a Boland total of 113 for four. This proved just enough, as Easterns were held to 112 for five allowing Boland to win the day's tightest game by just one run.

In contrast to that, Booysen recorded the remarkable figures of five wickets for two runs as North West were bowled out for just 18. Eastern Province duly chased that down in 3.1 overs to win by nine wickets.
Border beat Northern Cape by five wickets in another low-scoring game, while there were also victories for Kwazulu-Natal Coastal, Free State, Mpumalanga, Limpopo and Gauteng.
The only game completed in the afternoon saw North West beat Kei by six runs on Duckworth Lewis.
