Nigeria and Africa’s fastest woman sprinter will be the face of a new campaign to be launched by Nike in Africa in a few days.
In an article on News.Nike.com the sports outfit manufacturer using the slogan in a campaign “So Fast, She Leaves the Rest Furious” outlined the sprinters goal for the forthcoming World Athletics Championships in Beijing China and the future. In her own words the queen of the sprints in Africa said in the article that; “I’d like to break 10.7 seconds for the 100 and 22.08 seconds for the 200, and I want to jump further than 7.3 meters in the long Jump.” That means if she were to accomplish all of that she would in essence be the continental record holder in all three events adding the other two to that of the 100 meters which she already is.

With so much accomplished in the last few years and ranking consistently amongst the best in the world in her events, leaves no doubt as to why the sportswear manufacturer decided to work with her for its campaign in Nigeria and the rest of Africa.
Africa has many emerging economies and Nigeria being the biggest of all (with 180 million people) so working with a winner like Blessing Okagbare in its outreach efforts on the continent guarantees the company a larger market share in a continent where there is nothing but an upside for investors and multinational companies. Africa has the largest youth population in the world and it’s the middle class is growing and could mean a bonanza and windfall for the Oregon, USA based company.
