Uganda, Zimbabwe and Zambia remain unbeaten as the World Rugby SVNS 3 Africa Qualifiers move into their decisive final day at Kampala’s Kyadondo Rugby Grounds. Hosts Uganda opened Pool B with an emphatic 38–0 victory over Senegal before overcoming Tunisia 26–10, while Zambia edged Tunisia 10–7 and Senegal 17–14. In Pool A, Zimbabwe survived a determined Moroccan challenge to win 19–12 before defeating Ghana 40–17. Nigeria beat Ghana 26–5, while Morocco recovered from its opening loss by overpowering Nigeria 36–5.
Sunday’s final pool matches will define the knockout-stage standings, with Uganda facing fellow unbeaten side Zambia in Pool B and Zimbabwe meeting Nigeria in Pool A. Beyond the leading contenders, competitive performances from Morocco, Tunisia, Nigeria, Senegal and Ghana have underlined the improving depth of African Sevens as the eight nations compete for progression through World Rugby’s international pathway.
