JONSSON WORKWEAR SIGNS MULTI-YEAR PROTEAS SPONSORSHIP

Cricket South Africa has added another major domestic corporate partner, signing Jonsson Workwear to a multi-year agreement as an Official Sponsor of the Proteas and CSA’s official workwear and apparel supplier. The brand’s logo will appear on the sleeves of both the Proteas Men’s and Women’s ODI and T20I playing kits, while CSA staff will also wear Jonsson products across the organization.

The deal is commercially important because it packages the men’s and women’s national teams together while extending the relationship beyond simple logo exposure into apparel supply, staff outfitting and organizational integration. It also illustrates the continuing strength of homegrown African brands as sports partners: companies do not always need global scale to derive international visibility from African national teams. For rights holders across the continent, locally rooted companies with regional expansion ambitions remain a major untapped sponsorship category.
