SPURS REACH VERBAL AGREEMENT FOR EGYPT STAR OMAR MARMOUSH

Tottenham’s pursuit of Egypt international Omar Marmoush has materially advanced, with Sky Sports now flagging a verbal agreement for an initial loan containing a buy clause. Multiple reports place the permanent mechanism at around £50 million, with Marmoush expected to undergo a medical as Tottenham work to complete their second major acquisition from Manchester City after the £85 million agreement for Savinho.

For African football, this is one of the window’s most consequential late moves. Marmoush remains one of Egypt’s premier international stars, and Tottenham now appear to have moved beyond broad negotiations into an agreed structure with City.
