Manchester City have reached agreement with Lille to sign 18-year-old Morocco international Ayyoub Bouaddi in a deal worth up to €100 million — approximately £86 million. Sky Sports reports City will pay roughly £81.3 million guaranteed plus £4.3 million in add-ons, while Reuters also confirms that the transfer is now set to proceed. Bouaddi was omitted from Lille’s opening league squad as the clubs finalized the agreement.
The deal represents a major escalation from this morning, when Bouaddi remained in negotiations. If completed after the remaining medical and contractual formalities, he would become the most expensive teenage signing in Premier League history. For African football, the significance is considerable: one of Morocco’s breakout performers from the 2026 World Cup is moving into Manchester City’s reconstructed midfield following the departures of Rodri, Bernardo Silva and Tijjani Reijnders.
