Rangers’ pursuit of Couhaib Driouech has advanced significantly, with fresh reporting indicating the Scottish club are close to finalising a deal worth around £7 million with PSV Eindhoven. Rangers previously had bids rejected, but negotiations have continued and the parties are now reported to be considerably closer.
The transfer is not yet official, and Driouech still has to make his final decision amid interest from elsewhere. The 24-year-old Moroccan winger has also attracted attention from Celta Vigo and Burnley, making the player’s preference an important remaining component of the negotiations. For Rangers, the move would add another attacking option after a difficult opening to the domestic season; for African football followers, it represents another potentially significant move involving a Morocco-linked player into one of Britain’s highest-profile clubs.
