Aston Villa have reached agreement with Chelsea to sign Senegal international Nicolas Jackson in a deal worth up to £65 million. Sky Sports reports Villa have met Chelsea’s valuation, while additional reporting places the structure at roughly £47.5 million guaranteed plus £17.5 million in performance-related additions. Jackson is now expected to complete the remaining personal, medical and registration formalities.
For African football, this immediately becomes one of deadline week’s most significant transfers. Jackson returns to work with Unai Emery, who previously coached him at Villarreal, after spending last season on loan at Bayern Munich. Villa’s move is directly connected to Ollie Watkins’ impending Saudi departure and places another established Senegal international at the center of a major Premier League transaction.
