Lusaka, Zambia, 04 January: The transfer of Zambia international and Zesco United striker, Winstone Kalengo to AC Leopards of Congo Brazzaville has sparked a heated row between the national soccer team

Kamwambi is arguing that the transfer has been ill timed because Zambia was preparing African Nations Championship (Chan) at the same time, Congo will face Chipolopolo in crucial Africa Cup of Nations qualifier in March.

He fears that the Congolese club may manipulate things by denying the Chipolopolo star game time.
"If for some reason he doesn't get enough game time, it will be an advantage to Congo, “he says.
But Zesco through a statement signed by general secretary, Justin Mumba and press Officer, Katebe Chengo has defended the transfer Saying it had a blessing of the FA top brass.
They appealed to FAZ to tame Kamwambi mouth as he is not right person to speak for the association.
