
The seminar took place from 28-29 April 2016 in Kampala with huge presence from the various stakeholders who were taken several objectives of Club Licensing such as Safeguard the credibility and integrity of club competitions; Improve the level of professionalism within the football family and Promote sporting values in accordance with the principles of fair play, as well as safe and secure match environments
“Club Licensing is a key pillar in the football development process. At first, it received resistance when first implemented at the start of the 2015/16 season for the Azam Uganda Premier league. The seminar was to build capacity and human resource. Federation of Uganda Football Associations (FUFA) fully embraces the exercise,” said FUFA Second Vice president, Darius Mugoye.
Participants included Clubs’ Chief Executive Officers, Board members of the Uganda Super League, Ministry of Education and Sports officials, National Council of Sports, Security Services, Uganda Olympic Committee amongst others.
The instructors were Raymond Hack (South Africa) – Administrative, Finance and Legal; Nicholas Musonye (Kenya) – Infrastructure and Sunday Kayumi (Tanzania) – Sporting.
