Sierra Leone Italian based midfielder, Rodney Strasser has convinced more than 50 players, including Thiago Silva, Kevin Prince Boateng, De Sciglio, El Shaarawy, Cuadrado, Emanuelson, Sulley Muntari, Michael Essien and Bojan to join the fight against Ebola. The former AC Milan striker has created a T-shirt with the words “Kick Ebola out of the World” that will be worn by the players in warm-up and during league matches.
According to Tuttosport, the 24-year-old’s initiative was to raise public awareness and to also do something concrete to defeat this deadly disease.
He said: “Whoever wants to can also make a donation by participating to raise funds to stop the spread of Ebola.”

Strasser is not the only Sierra Leonean footballer who has joined the fight against the deadly virus, former Middleborough striker; Kei Kamara donated his match allowance after the Sierra Leone and DR Congo match in the 2015 Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers along with America based midfielder, Michael Lahoud who introduced the “Kick Ebola in the Butt’’ challenge to raise funds in the fight against the virus.
