
Sierra Leone striker, Kei Kamara goal scoring form continued over the weekend in the US. Major League Soccer (MLS) as his brace helped Columbus Crew SC secure a thrilling 3-2 win over Seattle Sounders FC.
The striker double was his seventh goals in nine matches this season for the Crew since he joined them at the end of last season.
The 30-year-old striker opened the scoring for the home side with just 10 minutes of play with a beautiful header but their lead only lasted for eleven minutes as the visitors draw level through striker, Clint Dempsey in the 24th minute.
The win was Columbus Crew fourth win this season and it was Kamara second brace in six matches-with his first against Whitecaps on April 8th.
In the Swedish topflight league, striker Mohamed Poborsky Bangura had a full time action for AIK in their 2-2 draw against Norrköping.
Still in Sweden, Ibrahim Kallay had a 90 minute action for IFK Luleå in their goalless draw with Västerås SK whilst Ibrahim ‘Jorjor’ Koroma also featured full time for Nyköping who were forced to a goalless draw by Södertälje.
It was a bad weekend for Sierra Leone international midfielder, Gibrilla Woobay whose Neftçi side suffered a 4-0 trashing to Inter Baki in the Azerbaijan Premyer Liga. Unlike Woobay, his countryman, Alfred Sankoh’s Khazar Lankaran were held to a 1-1 draw against Qarabağ.
