
The West African nation is the latest to host the national seminar as the continent’s soccer governing body, CAF seeks to formalize the Club Licensing system geared towards the professionalization of clubs across the continent in areas such as Infrastructure, Sporting, Administrative, Legal and Finance.
“We have lagged behind in terms of implementing the Club Licensing System. I urged you all to use the knowledge acquired in this Seminar as a tool to ensure Professionalism in our Club Administrations. Sierra Leone has to move forwards to catch the rest of the world in terms of football development. The Club Licensing System should be a perfect driving tool towards that,” Johansen said.
One of the participants, Pastor Philip Buck described the seminar as an eye opener, adding “we have had the opportunity to learn a lot about the Club Licensing system and though its challenging, I believe we can overcome with the collective efforts of al”.
