Sierra Leone and former AC Milan midfielder, Rodney Strasser has joined Italian Serie B side, Livorno on loan for the rest of the season.
The 24-year-old defensive midfielder moved from Genoa on the January transfer deadline day and according to diverse news in Italy, the former AC Milan player will spend the rest of the year on loan with the club in the hope of propelling the Amaranto back into Serie A.
In an exclusive interview with to Songhai Sports Network parent company of sites African Sports TV and African Sports Monthly, the midfielder said he was pleased with the move and looking forward to the new challenge.

“It is a great opportunity for me to get my career back on track as I have stayed on the sideline for over five months due a shoulder injury. I am well determined to face the new challenge at Livorno and help them gain promotion to Serie A,” Strasser said.
The former FC Kallon midfielder who suffered a dislocated shoulder during an international assignment with the Sierra Leone national team, Leone Stars, in one of their 2015 African Cup of Nations qualifiers is now finally set to make his return from a shoulder injury which has ruled him out for almost the first half of the Italian Serie A season.
The move to Livorno is Strasser second loan move since joining Genoa from AC Milan in 2013. He was first loaned out to Serie B club Reggina in August 2013.
