
Tianjin, China, September 29, 2017 - FIVB President Dr. Ary S. Graça F° was in Tianjin this week to meet representatives of the China Volleyball Association (CVA) and to discuss plans for future events and tournaments in China.
President Graça also attended the National Games of China in Tianjin. Held every four years and sometimes called the 'mini-Olympics' of China, the Games are the country's top multi-sport event and feature Olympic sports including volleyball. Over 12 thousand athletes will participate in this year's edition across the 33 sports on the event's programme. They will be joined by 7,000 amateur sportsmen and women.
FIVB President Graça is currently in China before he travels to Japan for the 2017 edition of the FIVB Volleyball World Grand Champions Cup which takes place from September 5-10 (women's competition) and from September 12-17 (men's competition) in the cities of Tokyo, Nagoya and Osaka.
