
NEW YORK (Wednesday, September 24, 2014) – Today, two of Major League Soccer’s newest teams, Orlando City SC and New York City FC, took part in the MLS Expansion Priority Draft to determine priority order for the eight mechanisms available to acquire players, including the 2014 MLS Expansion Draft, Allocation Ranking, and 2015 MLS SuperDraft presented by Adidas, among others,
Orlando City SC, represented by head coach Adrian Heath, were awarded priority and chose to take the first pick in the 2014 MLS Expansion Draft, which will take place on December 10. New York City FC head coach Jason Kreis followed up by taking the first pick in the Allocation Ranking.
