NEW YORK (September 15, 2014) – The MLS Disciplinary Committee has determined that D.C. United violated the League’s mass confrontation policy in the 38th minute of their game on September 10 against New York Red Bulls (VIDEO). This is the team’s second violation and as a result both the club and head coach Ben Olsen have been fined an undisclosed amount.
As part of the same incident, the Committee has fined New York Red Bulls midfielder Roy Miller an undisclosed amount after having instigated/escalated the matter and violating the League’s policy regarding hands to the face/head of an opponent.

D.C. United defender Sean Franklin and midfielder Davy Arnaud were also identified for having instigated/escalated the confrontation and each has been fined an undisclosed amount.
