Liverpool's Kolo Toure and fellow 33-year-old defender Didier Zokora were recalled to the Côte d'Ivoire squad for back-to-back CAF Africa Cup of Nations qualifiers against Sierra Leone and Cameroon.
Toure, with 104 caps, and Zokora, who plays in Turkey with Akhisar Belediyespor and has 117 international appearances, haven't featured for their national team since the FIFA World Cup™ in Brazil.
But both have been summoned by coach Herve Renard to help plug defensive holes which have seen Côte d'Ivoire ship ten goals in four qualifiers so far. Renard also summoned Adama Traore, Serge Wilfried Kanon and Cheick Doukoure for the first time.
Cameroon lead Group D with ten points ahead of Congo DR and Côte d'Ivoire, both with six points, while Sierra Leone have just one point. Côte d'Ivoire tackle Sierra Leone on 14 November and Cameroon, five days later.
