
Accra, Ghana, April 21, 2015 – Ghana organised a successfully accomplished the FIVB Volleyball Cooperation Programme Refereeing Course from April 8 to 12 under the supervision of Solomon Bekele from Ethiopia.
The participants comprehensively covered the official volleyball rules, including the rule changes. In a short span of time, the referee participants will be in a position to officiate matches effectively, and in the long run, they can further improve through courses and be an International Referee.
The FIVB and CAVB continuously support Ghana in developing the sport in the country, mainly in volleyball, which is being played in 10 regions, sub-regions, universities, armed forces and schools; and in beach volleyball, which is being played along the coastal areas of the country.
With the success of the refereeing course, the national federation officials are determined to work on a four-year strategic plan that can set their visions, goals and priorities to improve the sport in the country.
