Ticket holders invited to join sustainability campaign
FIFA, FIFA World Cup Qatar 2022 LLC and Qatar’s Supreme Committee for Delivery & Legacy have committed to reducing and offsetting all carbon emissions related to the FIFA World Cup 2022 – including the travel-related emissions of all ticket holders.
Ahead of the tournament, FIFA is inviting fans to raise a “ Green Card for the Planet ” to highlight awareness of the need to protect the environment. Besides sharing a video message where they mention an action that they will undertake to protect the environment while also requesting others to follow suit, fans who have already had their tickets confirmed are being invited via email to pledge to reduce their own carbon emissions and earn a chance to win a voucher for a memorable souvenir to take home from Qatar.
