According to recent reports in the English media, Chelsea and Manchester City are keen to acquire the services of Barcelona midfielder, Alex Song.
Alex Song has enjoyed a good return spell in the Premier League, with the Hammers. The former Arsenal player is thought to be surplus at the Camp Nou and will be allowed to leave permanently or on loan this summer.
Given his homegrown status, Song has attracted a lot of interest from the title contenders Chelsea and Manchester City, both of whom are looking to fill their homegrown quota.
Song brings a wealth of experience and a bargain of a deal, which is the prime reason why the Premier League duo are interested in him.

Despite Barca’ willingness to loan him out again, Song will be hoping to get his long term future secured so that he can concentrate on his football, without having to worry about where he will play next season.
