Carolina Panthers routs the Cardinals

In an unseemly imbalanced matchup as evidenced by the final score of 49 – 15 the Carolina Panthers led by Quarterback Cam Newton routed the Arizona Cardinals to earn a much deserved trip to Super Bowl 50 in Santa Clara California on February 7th.

The Panthers who almost went undefeated during the regular season save for a lone loss to division rivals the Atlanta Falcons took no chances when Conference Finalist Carson Palmer, Larry Fitzgerald and the Arizona Cardinals came calling in what was expected to be a battle of sorts that never materialized in the NFC championship game.

The 15 – 1 regular season NFC South division champs who also put away the much feared Seattle Seahawks the week before took no chances to let up in the second half like they did the week before when they played the Seahawks and quickly took care of business scoring on their first drive to earn a field goal which was then followed by a touchdown score. The Cardinals quarterback Carson Palmer who had been mentioned in the season MVP race proved that he did not belong in that conversation as he threw interceptions after interceptions, as the Carolina Panthers waylaid and destroyed them in every aspect of the game.

The Carolina Panthers will head to California next week for a full week of Media interviews and connecting with fans to face the Denver Broncos on Sunday February 7th 2016 who earlier in the day survived a close comeback by the New England Patriots, in a Super Bowl 50 showdown.
