
In a letter dated December 23rd which was signed by the Acting Director of Sports, Mr. Saidu B Mansaray, the council stated that they approved and endorsed the decision because it was in accordance with the SLFA constitution.
“The decision of the Ministry/Sports Council is in conformity with the National Sports Council act of 1964 which provides inter alia for the council to control sports in Sierra Leone.”
The correspondence further states that they hope to see a new direction in the promotion and development of football in Sierra Leone and a cordial relation with the Ministry of Sports/National Sports Council.
Meanwhile, the document also implied that the interim Executive will be headed by Alhaji Alim Awoko Sesay and that the Ministry will fully communicate all football related activities with him and his team.
