
Sierra Leone beach volleyball male team will get their 2016 CAVB Men’s Continental Cup final round Rio 2016 Olympic qualifiers underway on May 5th against their West African opponent, The Gambia in the morning hours in Tunisia.
After the Gambia encounter, the team will later face Egypt in their second match of the day while their opponents in Pool A, Tunisia and Egypt will battle in the morning hours before the Tunisians take on Rwanda in their second match of the day.
According to team Sierra Leone media officer, Florence Amara, all the coaches present in Tunisia are worried for their teams due to the constant terrible cold wind in Tunis.
She said: “The weather condition was felt after all the teams had their training sessions at the event venue today. The coaches believe that the windy atmosphere may affect the player’s performance.
"This is a worrisome condition and heart rendering for the players' their coaches grieved especially so for the West African teams who have trained under hot burning sun for months ahead of the competition.”
Amara said the Sierra Leone coach, Sorie Kamara who also shared the same view is hopeful that his boys could adapt easily as the competition progresses.
