Audi Gives Cars To Real Madrid Players

One of the supreme privileges of being a top flight footballer must be the fact that you get a free car each year from your respective sponsor.

This is exactly the case at Real Madrid who’ve recently struck a deal with Audi who provide their players with an Audi of their choosing – to complement whichever supercar they may already have sitting in the drive.

The Audi deal was announced with great fanfare as the Real side was divided into two groups under the mentorship of Bernabeu legends Casillas and Ramos. The Real players took part in various challenges which saw them trying to recharge an A3 Sportback e-tron on stage.

The cars the players chose were particularly interesting and in some cases predictable. Real Madrid are probably the best counter attacking team in the world today with the lightning pace of Bale, James Rodriguez and Ronaldo so you’d think that their choices would reflect their pacey instincts.

This is true for Ronaldo who chose the fastest of the free Audis, namely the 520BHP S8 saloon. Bale and Rodriquez chose the stylish Audi Q7 which still outputs an impressive 245BHP from the 3litre TDI.

It sits at the premium end of the luxury SUV market, alongside rivals like the BMW X5. There’s a 3.0TDI and a particularly notable 4.2 TDI V8, which pushes the price tag well above the £50,000 mark.

Ancelotti went for a demure and dignified A8 to match his persona and a couple of players even opted for the more humble but strikingly designed S3. Toni Kroos’ S7 Sportback was a particularly classy choice.

With Real Madrid’s star studded line up their ability to challenge at the top of world football doesn’t look to be ending anytime soon. This brand visibility which Audi can gain throughout Europe and around the world will certainly be an interesting proposition to the company. Offering these perks to the players will only help strengthen any business arrangement the two organisations have.

Who knows what the players will do with their beautiful new motors which would immediately become the pride and joy of the average working man. You’d doubt Ronaldo’s S8 will just be gathering dust in the garage though – wouldn’t you?
