The Professional Rugby Team Secures the AutoNation Sports Field at the Florida Blue Training Center as their Home Field Beginning in January 2024
MIAMI, FLORIDA, September 15, 2023 -- The Florida Blue Training Center, home of Major League Soccer Club Inter Miami CF, announced on Friday a landmark deal with the Miami Sharks Rugby Club. The relationship announces that the Miami Sharks Rugby Club, the newest Major League Rugby franchise, becomes the first official partner outside of the Inter Miami CF traditional fútbol family to use the state-of-the-art training center daily. The Miami Sharks will join the Inter Miami CF First Team, Second Team and Academy teams at the facilities commencing in the first quarter of 2024, also marking the inaugural season for the Miami Sharks. The AutoNation Sports Field located at the Florida Blue Training Center in the City of Fort Lauderdale will serve as the matchday venue for the Professional Rugby Club and also provide access to the top-tier training resources of Inter Miami. 
ULAANBAATAR (Mongolia) - France (Men) and USA U21 (Women) won the FIBA 3x3 Nations League 2023 in Ulaanbaatar, Mongolia on September 15.
France (Men) continued their reign of dominance, picking up their whopping fourth Nations League title. They took care of business against the younger France U21 side 18-16 in the semi-finals to book a spot against Latvia in the final. Finding themselves on the losing side early on, the Frenchman surged back and took control. Their defensive effort book-ended a splendid campaign as they came away with a 16-13 victory. Florian Fortas put up a game-high 8 points while Sya Plaucoste contributed with 5.

World Athletics Cross Country Championships 2024 to move from Croatia to new European host city9/30/2023
World Athletics regrets to announce that the World Athletics Cross Country Championships 2024 will no longer be held in Medulin and Pula in Croatia.
World Athletics believes that preparations have not advanced sufficiently for Medulin and Pula to host the event on February 10 next year, as scheduled. 
The 2023 edition of Afro Break Dance Championship has been launched at the Nima Mamobi Community Library by Nana Tufour Okai aka B Boy Lyrics, President of the Breaking Federation of Ghana and Afro Break, with the support of the French Embassy in Ghana and the Ghana Olympic Committee (GOC).

In their efforts to make all officials and stakeholders abreast with modern scoring system of Mixed Martial Arts, the GHAMMAF is planning to organize internal courses for Referees, Judges, Coaches and other Ring officials.
According to the President of the Federation, Mr. Collins Kofi Zoiku, they need to tackle some very important issues before organizing e a national MMA Championship and other events. He said there is even a strategic plan to recruit athletes into the Federation.

South Africa players Marizanne Kapp and Nadine de Klerk have attained career-best positions in the MRF Tyres ICC Women’s ODI Player Rankings after helping their team take a winning 2-0 lead over Pakistan in the ICC Women’s Championship (IWC) series in Karachi.

Prince Kudufia of EPIC Club won the Prudential Life Cycling Competition which started and ended at the Independence Square last Sunday.
The event which was held in collaboration with the Ghana Cycling Federation (GCF) saw a pool of amateur and professional cyclists. The regular adult category race covered 17.5km distance, while the kids' category was a distance of 1.75km. Prince Kudufia and his club really did well in the professional race. He beat likes of Nuru Paddy, Prince Tetteh, Frank Akuffo, Joseph Nii Amarkwei, Michael Atinga, Solomon Tagoe, John Gabriel, Michael Naba and team mate Lawrence Adjei, the defending champion. He went home with a medal, trophy and cash prize prize of 15,000ghc. The second got 8,000ghc and a medal and trophy, while the third place collected 5,000ghc and a medal and trophy. |
