Isaac Makwala of Botswana confirmed his arrival at the top level of elite sprinting at the Glasgow Sainsbury Grand Prix meet on Saturday July 12th 2014 when he topped other World class sprinters including the likes of Chris Brown of the Bahamas winning the race in a comfortable 44.72 seconds leading the race pretty much from start to finish.
Makwala who came to this meet with the new African record of 44.01 seconds after he eclipsed the old mark of Gary Kikaya’s 44.10 seconds in Switzerland last week looks set to cause some major upsets in the ranks of global quarter milers.
