Nairobi, Kenya – April 1, 2025 – Africa Sports Ventures Group (ASVG) and Women Sports Africa Network (WSAN) are proud to announce the official launch of the 50 Most Influential African Women in Sports website, www.50mia.com, a digital platform dedicated to honoring and celebrating the remarkable achievements of African women in the sports industry. The website will serve as the official hub for information, nominations, and public engagement for the 2025 Edition of the 50 Most Influential African Women in Sports Awards, scheduled to take place on July 31, 2025, in Nairobi, Kenya. As part of this milestone launch, the nomination page is now live, inviting the public to submit names of women who have demonstrated excellence and leadership in African sports across administration, business, media, technology, and athletics.

How to Nominate

  • Click on the Nominations Page
  • Fill in the required details about the nominee
  • Submit before the deadline on April 30, 2025


All nominations will be reviewed by an independent Selection Committee, and a public voting phase will commence on May 1, 2025, leading up to the final selection of the 50 Most Influential African Women in Sports for 2025.


A Landmark Moment for African Women in Sports

This joint initiative between ASVG and WSAN represents a powerful step toward increasing visibility, recognition, and opportunities for women in sports across Africa. Through this platform, the event aims to not only celebrate achievements but also inspire the next generation of women to take leadership roles in the industry.
