The event is open to everyone and will feature some special guests unveiling the Host City Posters via a game with FIFA Women’s World Cup™ Official Mascot ettie™. The game will challenge participants to score 100 goals- each goal marking every day remaining until the tournament kicks off- with ettie as goalie between a pair of digital goalposts.
In Paris, Brigitte Henriques, Deputy Vice-President of the French Football Federation and Vice-President of the LOC, will be joined by former French internationals Laure Boulleau, Marinette Pichon and Candice Prévost where the action will take place at the terrace of Forum des Halles (Floor -1) from 19:00 CET.
The nine Host City posters will be made available on the FIFA Media Channel following their unveiling. The Official Poster of the FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019 will be released on 8 March – the day after individual tickets for the competition go on sale to the general public – to coincide with International Women’s Day.
The FIFA Women’s World Cup France 2019™ will kick off in Paris’ Parc des Princes on Friday 7 June at 21:00 local time and will see hosts France take on Korea Republic. From then until 7 July, women’s football fever is expected to spread throughout France as locals and visitors alike embrace this summer’s festival of football. Nine Host Cities: Grenoble, Le Havre, Lyon, Montpellier, Nice, Paris, Reims, Rennes and Valenciennes will host the world’s best 24 national teams as they battle it out for FIFA Women’s World Cup™ glory.
