After several unsuccessful attempts, the capital-based club finally found their mojo this term and they did it in grand style, wrapping up the title with two games to spare and breaking the duopoly of Black Africa and African Stars, who have dominated Namibian football for the past seven years.
The result was enough to help Citizens beat the drop finishing ahead of bottom three, United Stars, Julinho Sporting and Flamingoes (in that order), who will play in the second-tier next season.
By the feat, Tigers will represent Namibia in next year’s CAF Champions League.
