
The Falcons of Jediane of Sudan arrived in Freetown on Wednesday onboard Kenya Airways ahead of their 2017 Africa Cup of Nations qualifier against Leone Stars of Sierra Leone slated for Saturday at the Siaka Steven Stadium in Freetown.
The Sudanese made it to Freetown in the evening hours of Wednesday after a long trip from Nairobi where they engaged the Harambee Stars of Kenya to a 1-1 draw in a friendly match played at Kasarani Nairobi on Tuesday.
Confirming the Falcons of Jediane’s arrival, the Sierra Leone Football Association director of competition, Sorie Ibrahim Sesay said the 29-man delegation received a warm welcome and were easily ferried to Freetown.
"The delegation received a warm welcome at the airport and the team will have their first training session tomorrow and possibly another on Friday before the match on Saturday."
