
African Sports Monthly and sister website African Sports TV has been able to compile the latest Rankings of African Men’s 100 meters sprinters and it is virtually dominated by South African sprinters who have been on a rise in the last few years.
Headlined by now world renowned names like Wayde Van Niekerk who recently became the first man in sprinting history to run sub 10 seconds in the 100 meters and sub 20 seconds in the 200 meters and sub 44 seconds in the 400 meters Van Niekerk and teammates like Akani Simbine another sub 10 seconds performer are poised to cause some major upsets in global sprint relays standings.
The Zambian team on the other hand has been blessed with the addition of young sprint sensation Brian Kasinda who joins fellow country man Gerald Phiri in the USA to make up the core of a potential 4x100 meters relay squad.
