The sports sector is a significant social mobilization factor for any nation on earth and a mainstay of hope for the youth of any community. So putting the right people in place to run a national sports apparatus is key to building capacity to effect national development.
Sierra Leone as a nation has gone through a lot in the last decade and a half which halted most aspects of life. After an 11 years civil war and the recent outbreaks of Cholera and Ebola, the country has not only been given a new lease on life (of sorts) to get things right as it hits the restart button on most areas of life but get it right for posterity sake.
