
Seventy (70) out of 76 clubs present and the 5 football interest groups renewed their trust in Augustin Sidy Diallo by acclamation, for another four-year term at the helm of Ivorian football.
Following the elections, the re-elected president his three Vice-Presidents. They are Sory Diabate, Georges Philippe Ezale and Malick Toe in that order. The trio were already en post in the same function in the last Executive Committee.
Diallo called for a sacred union within the Ivorian football body.
"We need to work in unity and discipline. Once I return from the FIFA congress, I will meet with all those who did not show up at this elective General Assembly. We need to be talking, because football, which is our common passion, requires respect and discipline. This is a new ride altogether, and no one should be left behind. If they are not in today, they will certainly jump in along the way. I urge you to talk them into returning home, so we could get the best of results", he pointed out.
A speech made certainly to the attention of the major clubs such as ASEC Mimosas, Amadou Diallo Football Academy of Djekanou (AFAD), Stella club of Adjamé, Tanda, Denguele Sport Association of Odienne and Satellite Club which were conspicuously absent at the important meeting.
