FAM chief executive officer, Suzgo Nyirenda confirmed the development in an interview with a local daily but added that his organization will not rush to accept the request until next week.
“There are issues that we have to consider before we respond to the offer.First, we wanted to get confirmation from Confederation of African Football (CAF) on the dates of our games with Guinea,” Nyirenda told The Nation.
“Remember we are also planning to play Sierra Leone. So we can’t just jump on the offer. But we will be able to come up with a decision by next week,” he added.
Malawi will face Guinea in Conakry then in Blantyre while Mozambique’s Mambas will lock horns with Ghana’s Black Stars in Accra and Maputo during the third and fourth week of this month respectively.
