High School graduate Mary Foday on Saturday June 11th 2016 joined the 11 seconds club of elite women sprinters in the world when she clocked her race in 11.85 seconds at the DMV Elite Invitational to place first.
A recent graduate of Central High School in Maryland she has been passionate in making it past the 12 seconds mark in the 100 meters for a while and in a short interview she explained how running below 12 seconds had been her ambition before exiting High school and her passion was so intense that she wrote on her Vision Board last year (2015) that in 2016 she will run an 11.80 seconds, 100 meters race.
Achieving such fabulous and impressive times bodes extremely well for Sierra Leone’s fortunes in international Track and Field Competitions in the years to come.
Mary will compete next at the US High School Nationals in the coming week and she hopes to put up another spectacular performance and lower her time even more.
