Ohio State and Sierra Leone international sprinter ended her 2016 indoor season on a high note as she closed out the season with a new PB and a new national record for Sierra Leone in the 200 with a time of 23.83 seconds. Barrie who is a standout Student and athlete at the world renowned Ohio State University has been steadily improving on her times this year since transferring from Xavier University.
She also set a new time of 55.15 seconds to break the national record in the indoor 400 meters’ race as well which was once held by former Sierra Leone Standout Melrose Mansaray at 55.82 seconds.

Maggie is the daughter of former Sierra Leone international Mr. Andrew Barrie and she has taken very strongly after her father’s footsteps and looks to even surpass his exploits on the international stage as she steadily chips away at her personal best times.
